Is it possible to share bookmarks and passwords between destop and mobile clients using firefox sinc?
I am using firefox with sync at a Mac based desktop client and a Samsung Galaxy S6. Of course both clients uses the same sync account: I found both devices connected at https://accounts.firefox.com/ and both clients tell me, they have been synchronized.
After that I have expected to find my desktop bookmarks available at mobile device. Unfortunately this isnt't the case. They have both ther own set of bookmarks: desktop client uses my over the years grown collection, mobile shows me the default bookmarks only.
That brought me to the idea, that sharing between desktop and mobile may be not possible by design. Maybe it is possible only sharing content between the same type of devices – desktop with desktop OR mobile with mobile.
So: is it possible to share the same set of bookmarks and passwords between destop and mobile clients?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi
I understand that Firefox Sync did not connect to your mobile device on this occasion, but hopefully I should be able to help you force a Sync event to take place.
Assuming you have connected the same Sync account on both your mobile and desktop copies of Firefox:
In Firefox on your mobile device:
- Go into the Settings menu and select Firefox Sync
- Tap on Synchronise now
This will “force” a synchronisation of the data that is on the local device storage.
Hi Seburo, thanks for your reply. I tried to force synchronizing. Unfortunately it didn't help. After that I tried to disconnect mobile firefox from sync service and reconnect. This didn't help too. Maybe the problem results from another cause: I've seen, that there is a discrepancy between two screens:
- At start screen firefox tells me, no devices were connected
- In settins it shows me, that syncronizing has happened successfully.
(I've added screenshots) Could this have to do with my problem?
After dis- and reconnecting desktop client the synronizsation of bookmars did work fine. Passwords have not been synchronized.
