I am going through my recent bookmarks on my iPad and would like to move them to folders. I haven’t found an easy way to do this. A cumbersome method would be to use a recent bookmark to go to its page and copy the url then go to the folder and add the bookmark. Now I want to add the name of the bookmark to be the same name as it has in recent bookmarks. My crude thought is to write it on a piece of paper and the type it into the name field. Of course, preferably, I would like to bookmark it directly to a folder. Is there in easy way to do this?

When do you plan to add this function on iOS ? This is clearly not acceptable ...

This is definitely something that should be implemented: the dialog box in desktop when you add a bookmark. Unfortunately, it isn't on iOS so you have to do folder management manually, which is a pain in the butt as you've noted :(
