Those definitely should still work. What about either of these:

  • Shift+right-click > Copy
  • Shift+right-click > Paste

Copy & paste definitely do not work on google docs in recent Firefox versions. This is due to the `dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled = False` default setting. This setting makes sense as a way to prevent websites from annoyingly preventing the use of copy/paste to eg password or email fields. Google docs needs it however for rich text copy & pasting, and google for some reason refuses to allow the plain text copy / paste (annoying!).

To fix, go to `about:config` in url box and set `dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled = True`. Note that this does not appear to enable websites to read the clipboard on a copy or cut event, so I believe it's safe to change this (see https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/ClipboardEvent).

The default setting is true. However, some people change it to false based on privacy guides that list dozens of changes but don't really explain the implications of each one in enough detail for people to connect the dots when problems arise.
