Using Firefox v3.6.6, I encounter problems with the Adobe plug-in as defined at this page: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/The+Adobe+Flash+plugin+has+crashed?style_mode=inproduct

I have followed the instructions outlined on this page: I use v3.6.6, I have installed the latest Flash version and have modified the advanced setting to -1 as directed.

None of these suggested solutions have changed the situation. I have reinstalled both Flash and Firefox v3.6.6.

When I access YouTube or any video player page, the player appears to work, but hangs quite dramatically. No sound plays and the video plays at approx 1 frame per 5 seconds. This issue also causes Firefox to hang, occasionally fatally.

I was of the opinion that this was a different issue to those caused in recent times by the Adobe exploit, so posted a separate question.

You need to perform a few more steps!: set dom.ipc.plugins.enabled to false and dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.NPSWF32.dll to false.
