I messed with my computer settings a very long time ago, and ever since then, some websites will appear in Japanese. Currently, I'm trying to access https://squareup.com/

The website loads in English, but once I log in, it switched to Japanese. In my account settings, the only two language options are English and Spanish, so it's not that. I changed my language preference on Firefox to be English, and cleared my cache and the cookies for that site specifically, but no luck. I also checked my computer's Default Location option in the Region and Language part of my Control Panel. It had been set to Japan, but I changed it to United States and restarted my computer. This didn't effect the site either.

What other options do you think this could be coming from? I've run out of things to tinker with.

Alright, a solution was found.

In the Options menu in Firefox, you can go to Content and choose your preferred language, right? I had mine set to English, but Japanese was also in the list. Despite that not being marked as preferred, it apparently becomes preferred on certain websites, maybe from poor coding, maybe from chance, I don't know. What I had to do was delete Japanese from this list entirely.

I'm told that this might be occurring because there are a lot of Japanese users who also have English in their lists, and so Firefox assumes I'm Japanese, learning English as a second language?

Anyways, if you have this issue, delete it from the list and it should be okay.
