I have downloaded Adobe Flash latest version many times but it crashes with the latest Mozilla 49.0.2 and Adobe Flash works fine with Internet Explorer. My CPU has Windows 10. this did not happen in Windows 7 What is the problem none of your forums or web sites helped me to fix this

Forget about Adobe Flash and how it does or doesn't work on in other browsers when compared to Firefox; the other browsers use a different version of Flash than Firefox needs - the Plugin version - and that is just the way Macromedia (Adobe bought out Macromedia in 2006) made Flash years ago when Flash first came out, and they never made an "one version to fit all web browsers" installer package in subsequent years.

If Flash is crashing, see their support forum for help with their software. We do help Firefox users when Firefox crashes due to problems that are caused by Flash.

I get "installation failed" under XP with the new flash, many attempts.

Usually it installs flawlessly.

ADDED It appears to get a return code of 18, which lists as Adobe Application Manager Bootstrap Failed.

Download from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and run the installer as Administrator if UAC doesn't prompt you. Right click installer --> Run as administrator, yes to the UAC prompt.

Odd that it crashes though. I just did a test install of Flash right now on my W10 system.

Also, delete all files in your Temporary folder. Start button -> type %temp% -> Enter.

Oh, so Firefox itself is crashing.

Please follow the steps below to provide crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

No, it is Adobe Flash that crashes not Firefox although with Adobe Flash in the system it effects the performance of the computer like locking up or slow response so I have deleted Adobe again
