Tried uninstalling Lightning in addons manager | extensions and then resetting (in ConfigEditor): extensions.InstalledDistroAddon.{e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103} and then restarting but no joy... historic calendar entries do not reappear.

To use a Google calendar, you must install the Provider add-on, and then import it to Lightning using the directions here:

Is this with a local calendar or an online, e.g. Google calendar?

Thanks for the insight... apparently it's the loss of Google Mail info in the new Lightning. I had Google Calendar Tab 3.9 (last updated 10.30.2011) now DISABLED.

So I've D/Led iCalendar file from Google Calendar, and I go to IMPORT that into Lightning: File | New | Calendar... except that the CALENDAR menu item is grayed out.

How to IMPORT?

Thanks for the on-point (& fast) help.

A reload solved the issue of TB's CALENDAR menu item being grayed out blocking the iCall import... so all good now on the import of items from Google Calendar.

Also the Provider add-on allows me to sync data between Lightning and GCal... (albeit with the attendant 'security risk' that booted GCal originally... and with the necessity of logging in to GCal for each sync).

Good and dusted though, thanks.
