lost systemprofile during update
I recently came home from a trip and when I turned on the computer it started an update and when it finished I no longer had desktop, with the error "windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop is inaccessible" followed by "Unknown hard error" . Is there a way I can get my settings from the firefox records anywhere? to get my passwords?

You might want to contact Windows support before doing anything more on that computer as to how to get your desktop back. Sounds like a hard crash and that could cause problems if you keep using it.
