URL preview on status bar using entire bar
I had a program "spontaneously resize" my display, and now I'm having a problem with the status bar. In the extreme left of the status bar is what I'll call the "URL preview" -- it shows the URL of a link if you mouse over said link (I don't know what else to call this). Normally, after a page is loaded, it shows "Done".
The problem I'm having is that this "URL preview" area now is using as much of the Status Bar as it possibly can. In Safe Mode this is the entire Status Bar except for the green bar indicating the load progress of a given tab (and the "locked" icon if on an https site). In "Normal" mode it crams all of the icons that are present into roughly 1/4 of the status bar (on the right). It used to only use about 10% of the Status Bar.
I'm sure there's a simple parameter in the about:config screen that controls this "URL preview" width, but needless to say I couldn't find it by simple perusal.
I suspect I could uninstall and then reinstall the browser to fix this, but this seems kind of overkill. Does anyone have any ideas?
I did try the "Organize Status Bar" add-on, to no avail.
My apologies if the answer has already been posted to the forums. I did look.

Sounds like an issue caused by one of the extensions.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems and Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems
cor-el,
Yes, I had thought the same thing. I mentioned in passing in my post that I get the same problem when in Safe Mode with no extensions / add-ons. When starting up in Safe Mode, the "Loading bar" and "Secure mode" icon are pushed all the way to the far right.
Thanks for the feedback,
