youtube watch history freezed ( it no more keeps a history of the watched videos)
so i've been using firefox for years now and this problem started like 2 weeks ago and it's never happened before. i've no extensions installed, i've tried clearing cookies and re-installing the program and none of these fixes the problem which is: whenever i watch a video on youtube the video isn't saved in the watch history..i can watch up to 6 (or even more) videos and none of them is saved in the watch history..it's like i never watched anything.on the other hand, when i load the exact same video on internet explorer it's directly saved in youtube watch history. i've noticed something though, the watch history saves the video i've watched ONLY when i open the video i'm watching in a tab and the watch history in another tab and just when the video starts playing i've to refresh the watch history tab, by this way the video is saved in youtube watch history (so whenever i open a new video i've to refresh the watch history tab to get the video saved there)

Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings and disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
(If you're using an added theme, switch to the Default theme.)
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu by clicking on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item:
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
- On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
- On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode
(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
Thank you.
i have tried firefox safe mode and it doesn't work...n i also tried resetting firefox and it didn't work either and i'm sorry but have you read the details? i only use the default theme and there are no extensions installed!

Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the Mozilla Plugin Check site.
Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions. If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow Update button or a red Update now button, please update these immediately.
To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.
just updated the plugins but the problem persists

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

it's maleware free..and the problem is still there
Note that YouTube also stores a lot in data in local (DOM) storage, so make sure that you enable cookies and DOM storage and aren't clearing them, either manually or automatically or in external cleanup programs.
You can check if DOM Storage is enabled.
well i just checked, and both of them are enabled (the dom storage and cookies).. and the problem is still there :((
This is a LAST RESORT ! !
==========================
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions and some Preferences.
- Open websites will not be saved in Firefox versions lower than 25.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Thank you.
well you seem to have NOT read the details/replies..i have reset firefox before and i also have tried the safe mood..anyway these didn't fix anything.. :S
How do you keep such history in YouTube?
Do you have to be logged on?
I'm not sure where YouTube stores this data. It may very well be stored in local DOM storage and not is a cookie.
You can check if DOM Storage is enabled.
well i ALREADY answered this..i said the cookies are enabled and the dom storage is enabled too..and YES i have to be logged on to youtube because the watch history is an option that's only available to those who have youtube accounts (like me)
