Firefox crashes
I am having trouble with firefox crashes. It just started the last couple of days ago, I have checked for viruses and malware and have not found anything, I have also updated drivers that has not helped . I uninstalled firefox and let it remove the profiles then reinstalled and imported a backup of the Bookmarks. The crashes all seem to occur when I am interacting with the program such If it is downloading something and I click to open a new tab or open several new tabs very quickly. I did install an update to avast before this started happening. Below are the crash ID and times since the reinstall:

Sorry your Firefox is crashing :( Here are quick fixes to prevent this from happening again http://mzl.la/MYlG5D
I tried the steps in your link before I posted the question, I'm hoping someone who can understand the crash report can narrow down where I need to look next.
Thanks,
Eric
Hello,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions and some Preferences.
- Open websites will not be saved in Firefox versions lower than 25.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
Thank you.
Make sure your proxy settings are right. I had this problem. Continuous crashes. FF 26. Tools/options/advanced/network/,,connection,then settings. should be no proxy. try that.
Ok,, I just thought it worked. Didn't help. Sorry about that. How come my firefox will stay on Google or Mozilla but nothing else?? Not a question. just a comment.
We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.
- Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
- Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and paste them into your response here.
Thank you for your help!
More information and further troubleshooting steps can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Creating a profile":
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem.
I uninstalled firefox and let it remove the profiles then reinstalled, so I am using a new profile.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

OK then,,,,,,,It has cleared up after running all the program scans. Just kept running them. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you,, y'all. Found several variants of trojans and stuff AVG has never said anything about. Firefox is running just fine.
You're welcome
I think I might have an answer after trying all the scanners listed here and finding nothing serious, and running the Windows memory tester (which is apparently useless) I ran memtest86 from a boot disk and I appear to have a bad ram stick. I now have the bad stick out and time will tell.
