hello BGP835LR, websites can specify if browsers should be able to save username/passwords (through the autocomplete="off" attribute in the login form in the html source code) - this is also the case with yahoo.

you can either install an addon or use a bookmarklet to circumvent this restriction.

Usernames and passwords are not saved

Make sure that Yahoo isn't being blocked from asking you to save the password. You can check by following instructions below:

  • Click the Firefox button
  • Go to Options
  • Go to the Security tab
  • Click Exceptions next to the "Remember passwords for sites" and make sure Yahoo isn't listed.

If that doesn't work, you can use the following extension to add your e-mail and password combo manually for Yahoo:

You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox store form data like names and passwords.

Note that Firefox won't auto-fill saved form data automatically when autocomplete=off is used, so you need to double-click the empty name field to get a drop-down list.
