It's built into the program. Just remember not to use it.

You can hide the button through the customization page.

• Enter the customization page by:
  • Enter about:customizing into the address bar and hit Enter
  • Right click on your toolbar and select "Customize"
  • Go to > Customize
• In this page, click and drag the "Forget" button to the "Additional Tools and Buttons" pane
• Close the customization page and the "Forget" button should no longer be visible

Darn, I sure should have not added it. Just more clutter on the bar.

I right clicked on the button then clicked on "Remove From Toolbar" and the button went poof.

Does hiding the button actually disable it or just get it out of sight?

Hiding the button in the Customization page prevents you from accidentally clicking on it. You also cannot access that button again until you bring it back onto your toolbar/menu, also through the Customization page.

An auto run icon will run even if removed from the toolbar. If you remove a manual icon ( you need to press it ) you can't press the icon, so it can't start.
