If I second click a link that is already open then instead of open in new tab I want to redirect to the open tab of that link, and refresh it If necessary.

ssfjhh, This is actually a feature of the url bar. If you start to type the link and the link is already open it will have "Switch to tab" listed under the suggested url. However if you are clicking within a webpage you may need an add on to detect this. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-Us/fire.../duplicate-tab-blocker/- Please keep in mind that this is a preliminary add on.

I don't noticed "Switch to tab" before. It's very useful. The addon "Duplicate Tab Blocker" works very well. Thank you very much.

Note that you can hold down the Alt or Shift key while an entry in the drop down list is highlighted to disable "Switch to tab" and see the URL of all entries instead.

  • Alt + Enter opens the highlighted URL in a new tab.
  • Shift + Enter opens the highlighted URL in the current tab.
  • Cursor Right copies the highlighted URL to the location bar in case you want to edit it.
