I want to use the copy/paste function in rich text format boxes
This is complete BS. Let me preface my question by stating that I am well aware of the stupid keyboard commands, AND I DO NOT WANT TO USE THEM. So don't suggest them to me. If I wanted to use the damn keyboard commands, I wouldn't have posted this question.
I have tried making changes to about:config and I have attempted to use the user.js file to allow clipboard access to no avail. It stubbornly refuses to work. There are no add-ons that I know of that will give me what I want. The add on AllowClipboard Helper would have been satisfactory, and quite frankly, I'm prepared to sell one of my kidneys for a version of that add on that is compatible with my version of what is undoubtedly the crappiest browser on earth.
By the way. I am using Firefox 34.0.5 on Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.1. Once again, I refuse to use the stupid keyboard commands. I want to copy and paste in rich text format boxes and I don't care how unsecure I make my browser in order to get it.

RightToClick {web link} Stops javascript annoyances such as forbidden right click, forbidden text selection or cascading dialog boxes.
Crappy attitude to have when you are asking us for help, don't you think?
Those prefs aren't applicable in Firefox any longer. If the Rich Text window doesn't provide those commands, you'll have to use the keyboard commands - or go without.

Use keyboard shortcuts if the buttons on the web page or other methods aren't working.
- Copy: Ctrl+C or Ctrl+Insert (Mac: Command + C)
- Paste: Ctrl+V or Shift+Insert (Mac: Command + V)
- Cut: Ctrl+X or Shift+Delete (Mac: Command + X)
