Why can't I drag and drop emails between 2 email accounts? Can you please help?
I wish to delete account # 1 because I am getting too many spams - So before deleting Account # 1, I created another new email account # 2 with a new email address. I have tried to drag and drop some legitimate emails I wish to keep from Inbox Account # 1 to Inbox Account # 2 and doing same process between both accounts from and to the sent box but no emails move. I keep getting an error pop up message: The current command did not succeed. The mail server for Account # 2 responded:
SERIOUS ERROR: WHILE PROCESSING APPEND (FioCloseFail 54/31) -
What does this mean and why can't I drag and drop emails into this new account. I have no problem with other accounts when I try to do same thing but it does not work with this new one although it is the same server and has the same IMAP setting with the correct SMTP and correct PORTS. The new account # 2 can send and receive emails with no problem. . Should something in configuration be done to allow this drag and drop issue? ? Thank you much in advance for any help I can get on this.

thank you very much for your helpful answer. - I was trying to move 10 to 20 emails at a time. Now, I understand it is an IMAP limitation and not TB so it makes sense but my ISP which is Spectrum does not have this kind of settings on the webmail. So, I guess the only solution for me is to move 1 email at a time.

How many messages are you trying to move? Copying to IMAP folders from the local computer usually only works in small batches - the system isn't really designed for mass uploads, and this is an IMAP limitation, not TB.
It might work better if you make a setting in account #2's webmail settings to collect mail from #1, e.g. Google Mail Fetcher.

I would think 10-20 at a time would work, but there's no defined limit. Maybe disable your security/AV program from scanning mail folders, in case it's interfering (add TB profile folder as an Exclusion or disable mail scanner), which is a general recommendation anyway.
