Each time Firefox has crashed, I've submitted the report. How can I prevent this?

This happened every time 2 weeks or so ago. I cleared the cache and it seemed to work temporarily. I've run Firefox for a number of years now and only within the last month has it given me problems with Plex.

We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A list of Submitted/Unsubmitted Crash Reports will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Submitted Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

Also, I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox as well. No change.

In addition to Plex not loading, some websites on this computer (through Firefox) won't load, while that very same website at the very same time loads on another computer with Firefox. The error message I'm getting a lot is "PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR". So there's that as well.

Why is Firefox falling apart at the seams and what can I do to fix this?

radi.stoyanov said Turns out the option DNS over HTTPS is what caused the problem.

cor-el said This usually means that Firefox wasn't able to find a cipher suites to use to connect to this server and reached the end of the list. There can be two possibilities: one is that the server is outdated and doesn't support modern cipher suites, another might be that the server only supports a few cipher suites and Firefox doesn't support any of these.

You can check your browser and possibly compare this with the server setup.

Some more reports. I can get Firefox to crash as many times as you need, if you need more reports. As of the last week or so, Firefox is the most unstable I've ever seen any program.

I may have found out something. While trying to connect my PS4 controller to the computer via Bluetooth, Firefox crashes each time. The 3 reports above are 3 instances where Firefox crashed as I tried to connect a controller to the computer.

The information you've sent me thus far, I don't know what to do with it nor do I know how to apply what you've written to fix Firefox. I am not in the world of maintaining or working on internet browsers. Far from it. What you've sent me, I don't know how to use. Those links you've sent me? They don't have the answer to my problem. I may have missed it but I don't see an answer. I see other people talking about their problem. I am not at the same level of knowledge you are. The only thing I know is Firefox crashes so much now, that I can only use it for certain things.

So, what can I do to make it so Firefox doesn't crash?

Looks like a problem with the DarwinGamepadService.

Are you using some special gamepad device ?
