I'm using Firefox v94.0.2 in private browsing mode (hereafter PB) and can't figure out how to save the "infinate scroll" option in duckduckgo (herafter DDG) while using Firefox private browsing. I know that PB wipes out all cookies when I shut Firefox down. So I tried building a cookie for DDG's options while NOT in PB mode. That works fine both in that session and in subsequent sessions, as long as I don't go back to PB. But when I do go back to PB, the DDG settings revert to some default set, and DDG's "infinate scroll" setting is not set to ON any more. Is there a way I can have PB keep the DDG "infinite scroll" setting? Thanks

Try logging into duckduckgo and going to its settings page.

No, that is not possible. In PB mode a separate in-memory cookie jar is used that is purged when you close the PB mode session or close Firefox, so any setting you make in PB mode is lost and doesn't persist.
