I've lost the password to my Firefox account, which hasn't been a problem moving onto new mobile devices since I can just use the QR code generated by my PC browser to Sync. But now I have a new laptop and I've downloaded extensions/apps to read those same QR codes from the new laptop's webcam, but Firefox is still prompting me to put in a password. Is there a way around this or am I going to have to reset my password and lose all my encrypted data? Thanks for the help.

HI npotvin. Firefox claim to encrypt the data with the password that is why reseting it looses the Data but there is a feature to create a recovery key to get it back. I have not tested it but i believe it was created for your exact use case. from the account page on the working PC create a recovery Key. Guide Below https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-your-firefox-account-password-recovery-keys

NB: the Data that is encrypted is existing on your PC/Devices even if you loose it when you reset and login the data will be uploaded and sync will be restored.
