Can't add new gmail account
When I try to add a gmail account I first enter the email address and password which Tbird says it found the account and then I have a window pop up from accounts.google.com that again asked me to sign into google "One account all of Google" but this window does not find my gmail username/password. Hence I can't get any account "installed" into Tbird. I have this gmail account working in Outlook and mac mail for many years. What is wrong.

Do you have cookies disabled? They are required for gmail oAuth authentication.
Most folk with these issues around gmail and oAuth either have disabled cookies or have installed security software that is blocking the completion of the sign-in process. The most common is cookies, closely followed by security software like anti virus and firewall products.
Cookies ARE enabled in my primary browser which is Firefox. I don't use chrome browser. I have no special security software , there may be some standard win10 security stuff running but I don't know about this. Any more suggestons? This is quite frustrating.

My wifes PC has the same problem, but it used to work about 7 months ago. What is going ON? I had planned to migrate to Linux and thought I would get us both on Tbird first, ... that is turning out to be a big problem

I have kept trying. since I had deleted Chrome I thought maybe there was some remnants of the chrome browser that was causing a problem. So I downloaded Chrome again and set it so that ALL cookies are enabled, even third party cookies. Now when I get to the point or creating the account and the Tbird finds the configuration, then when I hit "done" I get a message that says "incoming server already exists". But I have no accounts in Tbird at this point. ??

Please, can someone help me?
