youtube livestreams bloated RAM usage, max CPU usage, even at 144p
incoming streams are unusable, bloats RAM to max, pegs CPU at 100% even when stream is at 144p. ongoing issue for over a year. Tried different cache settings or no cache. No fix

system does not bloat, crash under Seamonkey
Looks like a 10yr old computer... How many tabs? Same issue with Firefox in Safe Mode? Also try downloading Firefox from Mozilla, run firefox-bin from the folder and see if you have the same issue. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

one temporary solution is to about:memory free memory minimize memory usage
I wonder if there is a bad setting that decodes video in to RAM cache instead of flushing it. wuld rather flush or save to ssd

forgot to mention firefox refresh has been tried, no fix
been trying disable extensions one at a time
seems to be the recommended extension Video DownloadHelper causing the issues I thought I had disabled it previously, damn
