I have the problem of suddenly finding folders in italics and some sub-folders not shown. I could not follow the suggested solution because I could not find 'Show only subscriber folders' through Tools -> Account settings etc.

Select Server Settings for the account in Account Settings, then the Advanced button in the right pane.
