Firefox 9.0.1 bookmarks leave remnant graphics and text at the top of the taskbar in Windows 7 classic view. Is this a Windows problem or a Firefox problem?
Happens on a laptop and a desktop, both with Windows 7 Home Premium and both Windows classic theme. Doesn't happen in Aero themes and with other themes I've tried. When I click to bring up the bookmarks list, those that overlap the top of the taskbar leave some text and graphics there when I close bookmarks. I can upload a PNG file showing what I mean, if there were a way to do that.

Disabling hardware acceleration solved the problem. Tools > Options > Browsing, and then uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available."
I get this problem. It seems to happen with sub-menus of my main bookmarks menu. The bits on the screen can be removed by e.g. wiping another window over the area. The bits are effectively those parts of the menu which lie outside the main Firefox window when it is redrawn after a bookmark is selected. Turning off the hardware acceleration option does seem to cure it. I first noticed it after my Windows 7 Home Premium was updated to SP1; however this was around the same time that I switched to using Windows Classic theme, so can't tell if SP1 was relevant. Bits can appear in the Firefox window border (the very thin bit) also the taskbar top border, as well as on the free area of the desktop.
