The area at the bottom of each browsing page appears white even when the rest of the page is a different colour. It affects about 1cm at the bottom [about the same height of the web address pop up]. It doesn't happen in IE8. Is there any way to get rid of it?

Also, you need to update Firefox, you are using an old version. Firefox 10.0 is the current release version.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).


Also do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
