You allow advertisers to create links on webpages. It is intrusive, interferes with my usage and annoying. I will not use Firefox if this continues.
If my cursor passes over a link, a popup comes in to an advertiser link. I hate this.

The Firefox browser does not come with such a feature as I agree it sounds like either malware on your computer or perhaps added by one of your installed Extensions listed in Tools->Addons->Extensions.

hello, this sounds like a problem possibly caused by malware on your pc. please go to firefox > addons > extensions & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and do a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and different other tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.

You may be seeing this kind of advertising:
An example is IntelliTXT:
You can look at Adblock Plus to hide double underlined IntelliTXT type pop-ups.
- Adblock Plus: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/
You need to subscribe to a Filter list (e.g. the EasyList).
I have a small screen the pops up in the lower right hand corner, and I have a second small firefox window constantly pop up over top whatever site I'm accessing. Often times the second firefox screen starts a video ad or brings up games I never asked for. It's seriously irritating. I've also done something somehow that makes a site I often access unaccessible. I have to use chrome or explorer to access it. Frankly, firefox has gotten terribly irritating of late. I've attached a screen shot to show what I mean. It does this constantly. I have to continually close the second window.
See:
- Firefox > Options/Preferences > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
The setting in "Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
