Firefox can't handle write-protected pdf files correctly
My app generates a PDF protected with a owner password (user password left blanck) so the only rights are View and Print for the user. When I use Firefox it asks for a password (that isn't needed just to view the pdf file, only if it where to copy the contet or whatever else). If I change the internal PDF viewer to the Adobe plugin it works perfectly (as it does in Chrome, Safari, Opera and IE). I have easily a thousand or more people daily trying to use my app and I can't possibly support each one of them to change the internal viewer to the Adobe plugin, it's easier to tell them to change the browser but then I'd be shooting myself in the foot as I always advocated Firefox as a great browser. I can send an PDF example file so this buggy feature can be fixed.

Hi AndrewSV,
I am sorry to hear that you are having problems opening password-protected PDF files, and that the users are being prompted for a password, which shouldn't be required for Viewing and Printing the file.
I have opened up a bug for this issue, and our engineers and volunteers will be able to investigate this issue.
Yes, please attach the write-protected PDF as an example, so that they can see what's happening.
Thank you for your help! =)

Ralph,
Just doing my part. :D It was the least I could do after finding the reason Firefox was floping on me and reporting about the error in the forum. ;)
