all my tabs from open session disappeared?!?!?
all my tabs from open session disappeared?!?!?
and no way to restore it; the option disappeared and I never erased it or close any of the tabs manually and it was on sync. Where did they all go ? I can see now the history from my laptop mixed with my mobile under the history tab but the session disappeared?!?!
Firefox use to be EXCEPTIONAL and 2 years ago it star5ed to go downward; please convince me to stay loyal and not switch to brave or opera; this is becoming worst every months.
I did everything I found with ChatGpt and nothing works:(## Recovering Lost Tabs in Firefox Android
I understand that all your open tabs in Firefox Android have disappeared, even though they are synced. Don't worry, there are ways to restore them and reopen that session on your mobile device.
- Here are the steps to recover your lost tabs:**
- 1. Check Recently Closed Tabs:**
- Open Firefox on your Android device.
- Tap the three dots menu in the top right corner.
- Select "History" from the menu.
- Choose "Recently Closed Tabs" from the History list.
- This will display a list of recently closed tabs. If you see the session you're looking for, tap on it to restore all the tabs.
- 2. Use the "Restore Previous Session" Feature:**
- If the "Recently Closed Tabs" option doesn't work, try the "Restore Previous Session" feature.
- Open Firefox on your Android device.
- Tap and hold the "Home" button.
- A pop-up menu will appear. Select "Restore Previous Session".
- This will restore the last browsing session you had open, including all the tabs.
- 3. Check Your Synced Devices:**
- If the above methods don't work, check if your lost tabs are open on another synced device.
- Open Firefox on your computer or another mobile device where you are logged in with the same Firefox account.
- Look for the lost tabs in the "History" or "Recently Closed Tabs" section.
- If you find them, you can open them on your Android device by syncing your browsing history.
- 4. Contact Firefox Support:**
- If none of the above methods work, you can contact Firefox support for further assistance.
- You can reach them through their website: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/firefox/fix-problems/
- Explain your situation and they will try to help you recover your lost tabs.
- Additional Tips:**
- To prevent this from happening again, consider enabling the "Open Tabs in Background" setting in Firefox. This will keep your tabs open even if you close the app.
- You can also set Firefox to automatically restore your previous session when you open the app.
- I hope this helps you recover your lost tabs and reopen your session on your mobile device.**); is there a way im missing ?
Only thing that happened is that I restared my phone earlier?!

You can check this article.
Do you have a recent upgrade.jsonlz4 in the sessionstore-backups folder in the Firefox profile folder that Firefox automatically creates when it updates?
You can use the button in "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page (Root directory).
- Help -> More Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Folder/Directory:
Windows: Open Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data
Backup the session files in the sessionstore-backups folder in the Firefox profile folder to make sure you do not lose possible important session data. Do NOT close Firefox when Firefox is already running.
You will normally find these files in the sessionstore-backups folder:
- previous.jsonlz4 (cleanBackup: copy of sessionstore.jsonlz4 from previous session that was loaded successfully)
- recovery.jsonlz4 (latest version of sessionstore.jsonlz4 written during runtime)
- recovery.baklz4 (previous version of sessionstore.jsonlz4 written during runtime)
- upgrade.jsonlz4-<build_id> (backups created during a Firefox update)
You can copy a file with Firefox closed from the sessionstore-backups folder to the main profile folder and rename the file to sessionstore.jsonlz4 to replace the current file.
- make sure to backup the current sessionstore.jsonlz4
You can look at this tool to inspect a compressed jsonlz4 sessionstore file. This tool works locally, no uploading is done.
Thank you for your reply BUT its not on my laptop but on my Android phone, so unfortunately after checking; not working
