I'm getting "untrusted connection" messages trying to connect to Time Warner.
I've always been able to connect to this site. Just tried logging in and got an "Untrusted Connection" box with the following explanation: "You have asked Firefox to connect securely to wayfarer.timewarnercable.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure. Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified." I know that the site is valid and went to "I Understand The Risks". I tried clicking on the "Add Exception" box, but nothing happened, and I still can't access the site. I'm running Firefox 4 under Win XP Pro. I read somewhere on google that others have had this problem on this site. One user found that his Time/Date had reset into the past causing it to think that the site security certificate was not yet issued. I checked my Time/Date, and it's correct. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

PROBLEM UPDATE: Earlier today, I had contacted Time Warner about this problem and received an email with the following"
"The issue is with firefox security certificate. We are receiving complains from many of our customers using firefox browser and our technicians are working on it. As a workaround for time being I request you to use:
· Internet Explorer 6.x OR, · Internet Explorer 7.x
Also to see whether the issue has been resolved I request you to clear your browsers cache and cookies, then try to login to your MyServcies account. "
The only version of IE that is in my system is IE 8. I tried connecting and was able to access my Time Warner account. So, the problem seems to be a Firefox/Time Warner issue.

You can try to inspect the certificate chain (View Certificate) to see if any intermediate certificates are listed that may cause problems. If there is an intermediate certificate listed then delete that certificate in the certificate manager or delete the file cert8.db in the Firefox Profile Folder to remove all intermediate certificates that Firefox has stored from visiting web servers that have send them.
You can retrieve the certificate and check who issued the certificate.
- Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
- Click the "View..." button to inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer.
Stored intermediate certificates show as "Software Security Device" in the "Security Device" column in the Certificate Manager.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Encryption: Certificates > View Certificates : Authorities
When I try to "add exception", nothing happens, so I can't tell/view which cert. is causing the problem. I moved the cert8.db file (didn't want to delete it) and still had same problem.
Try to install the second intermediate certificate (Secondary SSL Intermediate CA Certificate) from this VeriSign website:
Select the text of that certificate (click Select All) and paste that text in a text file with a plain text editor like Notepad and save the file as: "VeriSign-Class3 CA - G3.cer"
Select all Files in the Save File dialog window to prevent Notepad from adding a .txt file extension.
You can import that .cer file in Firefox via File > Open File
Don't place any check mark in the boxes, leave them all unchecked.
