Firefox 17.0.1 Crashes with "Script is busy or has stopped to work" under Win 8 Pro 64bit - no problem under Win Vista Ultimate 64 bit.
Firefox hangs and takes a few minutes to run again :( until next hangout :(((( Reinstalling didn't help.

It looks like that hangout is caused by Shockwave plugin version 11.5.502.135. I'll wait a few hours and mark this as solved.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
None of this has helped me :( I'm using default theme. I have disabled all plugins and still firefox hangs for several minutes when I try to access pages I can view in google chrome/opera e.g. www.idnes.cz .
I really like Firefox and until I had installed Win 8 I had no problem (I'm not counting several flash crashes as it is not purely Firefox problem).
