Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;

Type about:preferences<Enter> in the address bar

Select Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?

Then restart.

Thank you both for your replies, I will try both solutions but the crash is fairly random so I won't know for sure.

Can you tell me how and why you came to these conclusions? What specifically in the crash log tipped you off? Please don't worry the technical aspects of your response, I am fairly computer literate.

Thanks!

Some issues are caused by Hardware Acceleration.

Some by add-ons or user settings. Safe mode disables all of these.
