My search page from Yahoo has a news link

Possibly you are just looking at the Firefox homepage about:home or the newtab page about:newtab Feel free to bookmark such pages or set them as a homepage {If you set multiple homepages, multiple tabs open) or newtab page.

I am aware Yahoo has previously made available a Yahoo toolbar but it appears at present that is broken and being worked on by Yahoo. The toolbar will apparently only work in outdated unsafe Firefox versions.

Thanks, but no thats not what I am referring to, I am talking about the search page yahoo designed for firefox's search bar.

I click firefox's search bar, type in words and press enter. the result page have no link to news results.

I fully aware that if I goto generic yahoo search page, the result will have link to news. But I should not have to do that.

Personally, I use bing, and this would not affect me that much.

I am asking this to let Mozilla aware of this situation, that yahoo designed firefox search page is inferior to even yahoo's own generic search result page. I am unsure why this is the case, but Mozilla and Yahoo need to get their act together on this.

It is just the basic search page from Yahoo.

It has not been designed for Firefox. The Yahoo toolbar will have been designed for Firefox but is outdated and apparently no longer fully functional.

You could also just choose to use another Yahoo page yourself.

One difference may be that IIRC the Firefox search option will respect Do Not Track options, but possibly specific Yahoo pages may not and will presumably collect more information.
