Hi Stephen.

Yes, you can set this behavior in Options > General (set the option When Firefox starts to Show my windows and tabs from last time). Please see Startup, home page, tabs, and download settings article for more information.

When 47.0.1 self installed I lost all my settings and had to spend hours to correct the situation. A job that was made harder by changes in Firefox. One of the most frustrating changes is that if I close Firefox by clicking on the X in the upper right corner, it no longer remembers my open tabs as I have it set to do. Now instead of a single click to close the program I have to click on a drop down menu and then click on a power switch icon. That is not an advance. If that is going to be necessary, at least that icon should be on the toolbar! Before the latest update Firefox saved my open tabs per my settings. Closing a program in Windows by using the X is a standard procedure. Now suddenly that has changed. Why? It seems as if the Mac people have taken over with arcane obscure icons and procedures for what used to be straightforward and easily identifiable actions.
