I'm using Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.11; rv:46.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/46.0 When I click on the red button and the i reopen firefox, it doesn't restore the previous tabs. I also check all the hints written here https://support.mozilla.org/it/questions/1084632. And now I cannot click on history/restore previous session but only restore closed tabs

Make sure you do not close open windows, but close the Firefox application (Firefox > Quit) while the window(s) are still open. Otherwise you won't be able to reopen tabs automatically and have to use History > Recently Closed Tabs/Windows.

You may have corrupt sessionstore file(s).

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Locate the sessionstore file(s).. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.

I don't have sessionstore* file(s) just

  • sessionCheckpoints.json
  • sessionstore-backups folder

Deleting this folder could help?

Thanks
