Accidentally created an account with wrong email address
I recently downloaded firefox and had all my chrome data imported to firefox , I proceeded to sign up for an account but accidentally keyed in the wrong email address and had that email registered . I went to log the device out and created another account with the correct email address and afterwards went to check if the email address I entered wrongly was valid , turns out it IS someone else email and was active . I was wondering after they verify the email , will they have access to that account and all the bookmark , history and saved password ? .

The account is used if the first Sync has finished completely or at least has started. If the account hasn't been used that way then no data is uploaded.

What account are you talking about? The best thing may be to cancel that account and create another.

How do I cancel the wrong account that I created ? I've already created another new account with the correct info but I'm not sure whether my history , password and bookmarks are saved to the WRONG account
Is this about an account for Sync?
You can try to log in to the Firefox account via this website and see if you can delete the account.

Hello Cor-el ,
Unfortunately I'm still unable to delete the account with the 2 link that you have provided , it prompts me to verify my email but I don't have access to it since it's not my account . Is there any other possible way ?
If you can't answer the confirm email and have never used the account then it is very likely that any data has been uploaded to the Sync server. I don't think that there is a way to delete the account if you can't access it.
All data stored on the Sync server is encrypted with a key that is derived from the password of the Sync account, so only someone who knows this password would be able to access already stored data.

I'm not really sure what's your definition of "used the account" , is it considered not used if my account is not yet verified but I imported all my stuff from chrome ?
Ok so assuming my imported data was stored into the Sync server , wouldn't the person be able to verify the account and reset the password and access my account to check for any saved password on my firefox account ? Sorry if I ask too much questions .

I have the same problem, And please I need to know if the sync process will even start if the email address used is still unverified ?
Assuming that you response is YES then if a partial sync happened will the other person be able to see that ?
