Trying to get add ons to work/downgrade issues. Help!
I have one add on - since the new update has been labeled legacy - I have done system restores trying to update and fix things (and my last question was rated solved when..it wasn't). I also tried to downgrade, however, my add ons are STILL labeled legacy and i haven't a clue how to get them back up and running.
In short I started with the ESR (Thinking "add ons would work" meant they would), to remove that it said to install the regular upgrade (put in 57), then to downgrade install another version (tried 56, 55, and 51). All the same, still has it like esr.
I spoke with the person who made the add on, and I was told I can just downgrade and they should all still be there, however..this is maddening. Do I need to completely uninstall and reinstall firefox at an older version just to get it back? Because installing over doesn't seem to work (it's still listing everything as legacy, and appearing like the ESR one)...
I just want to get my add on back, please help. And thanks in advance.

Nevermind I managed to fix it --------
I installed 55 - Clicked the "help - about this (What version) check for updates -> went to 56 (not from the install but in firefox upgrade). Moved things back to the toolbar, and at least got it back. Finally.Xle ŋuɖoɖo sia le goya me 👍 0

Mozilla does not support Legacy Extensions/addons
Learn to make alternative choices as that is the choice.
As you are running unsupported browsers, am supposed to offer you support......you are am sorry making all the wrong decisions instead of making compromises.
You are getting all the wrong stuff from wrong places I am sure. Any place you get a Firefox besides Mozilla or a trusted distributor you risk getting malware included in your download or in the installer. Now since no idea where you got the installers from : Please use more than 1 scanner as each uses diff tech : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware Save your Report and google each before deleting anything as do not want to delete something you need, If need help : https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/9573-im-infected-what-do-i-do-now/ Post in only 1 forum, then wait.
This the best way to uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
If re-installing : Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
