You can do the same for toolkit.telemetry prefs
toolkit.telemetry.archive.enabled = false toolkit.telemetry.enabled = false toolkit.telemetry.rejected = true toolkit.telemetry.server = <clear value>
toolkit.telemetry.unified = false toolkit.telemetry.unifiedIsOptIn = false
toolkit.telemetry.prompted",2); toolkit.telemetry.rejected",true);Xle ŋuɖoɖo sia le goya me 👍 5

Head on over to about:preferences#privacy and untick all the checkboxes under Firefox Data Collection and Use and restart Firefox.

thanks for your answer, but im using forefox since 2007, i already know those advance browser options already. like i said im using the latest version, turn off all those things, but firefox still sending data. there are some telemetry setting in about:config, im changing some value to false but still didnt solve the problem
You can set datareporting.*url prefs that set the URL to contact to an empty string value to prevent connecting to this server.
You can disable the service via datareporting.*enabled prefs datareporting.policy.dataSubmissionEnabled = false datareporting.healthreport.service.enabled = false datareporting.healthreport.uploadEnabled = false
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

Hi guys, I use firefox 59.0.1. on Win7-64.
I tried the above blocking telemetry trick but I seem to have some other problem. Looking at Network Activity in Resource Monitor I see Image firefox.exe telemetry to address facebook.com. If I switch of WLAN I can still see it. After switching on again I see a high peak of telemetry to facebook.com from svchost.exe (LocalServiceAndNoImpersonation). I guess the telemetry data is stored locally while off line and then quickly sent to facebook.com when online again. Closing firefox and the telemetry disappear. It is enough to have the small "Firefox - Choose User Profile" window open for telemetry to start. I have also seen WMPNetworkSvc (Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service) sending telemetry to facebook.com so as I never use it I stopped the service in Windows Task Manager. This worked fine but I cannot stop firefox easily. Adding 127.0.0.1 facebook.com to the hosts file to redirect it does not help, still there. It helps in the browser as I cannot connect to facebook.com anymore.
Can I have some trojan that uses firefox or the media player to leak (sell my data) to facebook? I did try to block outgoing traffic through the firewall both in Windows and my ADSL modem, but to no help. Any help or idea to plug the hole would be great.
And NO, I have never used facebook or any other social media. I try to keep google, facebook et al outside, but it's increasingly difficult. I may have got this infection through the home network from the kids laptop but cannot say for sure. I saw some file activity this way two days back.
If I use Internet Explorer (good forbid) I cannot see leaks to facebook.com but instead to google or 1e100.net
Thanks for your help!
