Every website I visit it thinks I'm in Canada. I'm concerned I've been hacked or there is foul play here. This started a few months ago.

Anyone have any insight as to why it thinks I'm in Canada or how to fix it?

Posted to websites think I'm in Canada. How to change to USA? by jscher2000:

Websites usually "geolocate" you based on your computer IP address, which usually is assigned by your service provider. However, there are some ways that your IP address might vary from that assigned by your service provider, if you use a Private VPN, Tor, or a service like Hola to route your connection through someone else's network or computer.

These are some sites that show the location associated with your current IP address: If neither of those shows Canada, perhaps there is some information a website saved in a cookie that incorrectly placed you there. But if it affects all sites, that's not likely.

You may also want to ensure that your router is configured to the correct region.

It's also possible that you are being directed to the Canadian version of a website because your DNS record is incorrect. DNS is the service that converts a website URL to an IP address that Firefox uses to find the website's server. This information is stored on your computer like a phonebook. If the server has changed or if your computer was given the wrong IP address, that information my be invalid or outdated.

Try flushing your DNS to reset your DNS records.
