Cannot download anymore. The window opens, but the OK button stays grey. Started happening suddenly. Other browsers still work fine.
As said in the title. I am an everyday user, I download files often. Suddenly, the download window's OK button stopped working, staying grey. Everything else with the browser seems to work. Other browsers work fine. I tried restarting the computer and even reinstalling Firefox. Cannot download or open files anymore, which makes this browser unusable until the problem is solved.

Is this with many websites, some, a few?
Make sure you are not blocking content.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Content Blocking. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature:

Thank you for your help. The problem was not limited to one website. For reason, when I tried today (no computer reset or anything), the problem was solved. I have no clue what happened yesterday.
Give it a few days just to be sure.
I have the same problem for all websites and downloads.
But in Safe Mode it worked again.
So I deactivated manually all Plugins, Addons and the tracking protection in Normal Mode, but this didn't help. I guess it's an configuration issue and I'll reset Firefox.

It could be Hardware Acceleration. How to disable Hardware Acceleration {web link}

Nope, this didn't help. Also, it would be very strange so, because it worked a few days ago. But maybe there was a FF update (or Windows update).
I checked again the behavior and maybe it isn't the same problem as the topic suggests:
When an automatic download starts or I click on a download, the browser has this highlight flickering, but then nothing starts.
If I right-click and choose "Save file under" (I have the German version so I don't know the exact wording) then the download actually works. Very strange?
