Is there a way to have the write mail addressee default to BCC: instead of TO: ?
I occasionally need to send about 200 emails out. My email server limits me to 100 every 12 hours. I just dump an email list from an Excel file column into the BCC line. My problem is I forget to select BCC occasionally, and I broadcast the full list of email addresses to the group. If I could set my email to send via BCC as the default from the get-go it would solve my security concerns for the folks I mess up on. I can resend an email if I need the list to be public, but I can't undo the error mail. I'm old and forgetful just looking for an outside fix to help.

For TB 68:
https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/use-bcc-instead-c/
Drag the Download Now button from Firefox and drop it onto Tools/Add-ons/Extensions in TB.
There is a similar version for TB 60:

The 68 version add-on won't work with my version 60 TB. I didn't find a clean update, yet, to version 68 that would not, for sure, overwrite my lists or history. Nor did I find the version 60 add-on yet. But knowing they exist, I will keep looking.
Thanks!
