TIF files only have save option (not open) after last update

Since the last update .tif files won't open in default application on download anymore, I can only save them. Jpg and pdf files I can set a preference in settings to open or save, but there is no option to set a preference for tif files.

For my work I use databases with many tif files I need to open to review, and I really don't want to waste time saving every single file, then open them for review before going and deleting the unwanted ones.

Until the most recent update any image files just opened in my default application and I could save from there if I wanted.

This seems like a pointless change with no benefits and only disadvantages, can it be fixed?

Thanks for the suggestion - downloading a tif file, then right clicking the downloaded file and ticking 'always open similar files' seems to have worked.

You may be able to add .tif files by using the procedure outlined in the link below.

As for opening without saving, there is a temporary 'fix' that may help.
