When loading most web sites, phone numbers appear for less than a second and then disappear. I have noticed that some text also disappears from Mozilla help page when it is loading. Is there a privacy setting which is making this happen or something else?

This happened

A few times a week

Hi Nigel,

I don't know about other disappearing text, but disappearing phone numbers can be caused by the Skype extension.

Try updating Skype or disabling / uninstalling the Skype Toolbar extensions. See Disable or remove Add-ons.

You can try Firefox Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to identify and then remove other add-ons that are causing problems.

Hi the problem with telephone numbers disappering went when I updated Skype. If I am Mozilla home page then go to "help", part way down and click on "pop up blocker", when that page comes up, the word "preferences" appears for two seconds opposite the third selectiuon down and then disappears too. So nealrly but not quite fixed.

Skype add-in is definitely making phone numbers disappear, not occasionally, but all the time, disabling it makes it stop. I'm on windows 7 and firefox 3.6.3

how webmaster can remove this bug on custumers' site?
