I can bid on an item on ebay without a problem but when I confirm the bid firefox crashes. I've filled out the problem on the pop up page and it still hasn't been resolved. I did what Ebay told me to do and that was to delete all saved cookies and history. Nothing works my bidding works in IE. Something is seriously wrong with Firefox because it says that other people have had the same problem but the contact page says it's been resolved. No it hasn't.

I have experienced the same exact problem for several days.

Wayne, try deleting the Highliter add on and bid on Ebay and see if the problem is solved. I have nothing to bid on right now. If it does work after you delete it, let me know.

I deleted the highlighter add on and successfully confirmed a bid on ebay. It looks like Tom has the answer.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Now I know I'm good to go for my next Ebay bid. On the forum that I got this information about the Highliter being faulty, the author said that he thought that the Highliter was the same as the Highjacker virus. What ever that is. :-)

I have no idea what anyone is talking about when they say to delete the highliter. I can never get passed the confirm bid stage because it crashes. I leave my email address in the popup box for firefox but I never hear back about anything.

same problem, plan to remove highlighter as I have never had an issue before i installed the hightlighter, i don't recall at least, but lost two items where i really had no time to reload Firefox and bid again. Both times it was end of auction bids with someone counter offering, my bids were confirmed. Kinda takes the fun out of it. May try to bid in explorer, which would be sad as I loath it. dan

Go to your "Add and Remove Programs" in your control panel and delete "Highlighter" You shouldn't have any more problems on ebay.
