I just updated to 3.6.12 and now tabs open in the very next tab instead of after all my other tabs, how do I fix this?

I previously was running 3.0.19 since March, and had frequently updated up to that point. While running 3.0 and earlier versions, whenever I opened a new tab, usually by middle clicking a link, it would open at the very end of my list of open tabs. I frequently browse with several tabs open, rarely less than a dozen and often up to a hundred or more. I have the habit of opening new articles with the intention of reading them later after I'm finished with the tabs I already had open, which makes this very frustrating. This was one of the major reasons why I switched to and stuck with Mozilla over other browsers. I'm also no longer able to select a tab and page between them with the arrow, home, and end keys, another frustrating change. Is there any way I can change this?

Set the pref browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent to false on the about:config page.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
