Firefox mobile installed on Dell Streak5 running Android 2.3.3, but font is hieroglyphics
Just downloaded and installed Firefox mobile on my Dell Streak5, running Android 2.3.3. Appears to have installed ok but the font or language is not English. It looks like hieroglyphics with just symbols, fractions, arrows, etc.

Since the Android version indicates that the OS version running on the system is a custom ROM rather than the Dell provided stock ROMs, this is unfortunately likely to be a compatibility problem between the two. I believe that stock ROM development stopped at 2.2 for US and EU consumers, with South Korea getting a 2.3 update. I'm having a similar problem to the one reported on the 2.3.3 custom ROM I have installed, known as Gingerstreak.

I have the same problem. The system font is not readable. it looks like a symbol font. I try to change the language in preference but the only language that is readable (written not in symbols) is Russian - Cyrillic and again the system font is like symbols. When I try to write some site URL in English it appears in symbols but the site is opening correctly.
I don't see this on an ATT Dell Streak I have access to. Did you get yours through T-mobile?
I purchased the Streak secondhand and it was already rooted. I am now using the T-Mobile system.
