Menu bar has disappeared. Alt key does not bring up the menu bar even temporarily. right clicking on the search bar or the tab bar brings up a menu which has no "view" or "hide" features. Have restarted more than once to no avail. Vista operating system

Exit firefox from File > Exit then Open firefox profile folder find localstore.rdf file and delete it.

A new file will be created on start up or when the application first needs to write to the file.

OK, thank you again. I read all the zine articles, but am a little wary of going and deleting files as I am a little out of my depth. (Don't even know how to delete such a file). Do you think it would work to just reload mozilla? I don't mind losing my bookmarks.

As of now, I have no menu of "file" etc and no toolbar at screen bottom. I have been able to restore these things through the mozilla icon in the startup menu but they disappear as soon as I click on anything.

hello, don't worry to delete the localstore.rdf file, just right-click on mouse and select delete, deleting localstore.rdf will reset to default your customized toolbars, window positions and sizes.

to fix the loss of the file, edit menu see: What happened to the File, Edit, and View menus?

try it !! you can do it ! it is not so difficult !
