Firefox gives me a "sorry we crashed" screen EVERY single time I shut it off and has since Oct 2016; now it is interfering with the shutdown proceedure
I get a "sorry we crashed" screen EVERY time I shut off Firefox and have since Oct 2016. I send a crash report every time. Now this screen is interfering with my computer's shut down sequence. After I turn off all my programs and documents, tell the computer to shut down and wait for a "Shutting down" screen to come up (this part is Windows) and I leave the computer, THEN the Firefox Crash report screen pops up and halts the shutdown process. Yesterday the computer stayed on an additional 7 hours. When I click on the "quit Firefox" button on the crash report screen, it goes away and I get a normal Windows screen.
But, EVERY single time for more than a year a a half? When I send in a report every single time? Help!

Please include the bp- portion of the crash as per instructions. Need no more than 5. Thank You.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
- Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
- Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.
Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.
(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)
More information and further troubleshooting steps can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
Let the browser run 5 - 10 minutes. Then shut it down via Menu > File > Exit. Is the problem still there?
