I have downloaded one html file. It has another link in the file which will open another html file. When I click on the link it is looking for the files to be in the "C:/Users/IBM_ADMIN/Desktop/" root folder.Is there a way that we can get these links not to look to a specific root directory?

Hi hari_v1977, did you use the "Save Page As" feature in Firefox? This feature has a choice of different save formats. If you use "Web page, complete", which is the default, then the links are modified to work with a folder of downloaded page elements (such as images). To save the page in its original form, change the save format to "Web Page, HTML only" when saving.

However, that selection should not affect hyperlinks to other pages. Possibly the reason you are seeing a local link is that the page originally contained a relative link. This is common, since it facilitates portability of the site not to include the full addresses in the links.

Where do you want the links to point? Back to the source server, or to some other folder?
