Sync on firefox.
I cannot sign into sync on my new PC. I have the correct password but it does not accept it.

Noting we can do about your password issue. Try downloading a different version (Beta, Dev, or Nightly) and try again. Don't forget ---> Warning: Resetting your Primary Password will remove all of your saved usernames and passwords.
Can you login to the Mozilla Account via this web page?
Keep in mind that Sync isn't designed to be used as a backup, but merely is meant to sync data between connected devices. Best is always to backup your personal data locally.
You can copy certain files with Firefox closed from one profile folder to another profile folder to transfer personal data. Note that best is to avoid restoring a full profile folder and only restore important files that are safe to restore/transfer.

- bookmarks and history: places.sqlite
- favicons: favicons.sqlite
- bookmark backups: compressed .jsonlz4 JSON backups in the bookmarkbackups folder
- cookies.sqlite for the Cookies
- formhistory.sqlite for saved autocomplete Form Data
- logins.json (encrypted logins) and key4.db (encryption key/primary password) for logins saved in the Password Manager
- cert9.db for certificates stored in the Certificate Manager
- persdict.dat for words added to the spell checker dictionary
- permissions.sqlite for Permissions and possibly content-prefs.sqlite for other website specific data (Site Preferences)
- sessionstore.jsonlz4 for open tabs and pinned tabs (see also the sessionstore-backups folder)
Thanks for your responses. I think this is a case of a good thing made irrevelent by lack of support. I have used firefox over the years, but as a barely literate pc user, with out tech support I can contact by phone it's not worth the effort it takes for me to try to make it work. It seems a lot of things are this way these days. It comes down to a equation of how much effort to be invested vs the benefits. Sadly this is one of those equations that does not compute. Thanks - again for your input
