Greetings novak.samko!
Fortunately, Firefox stores profile information in the app data folder. Take a look at this article and see if it helps you get back to where you were.

Update us on how it goes. :)

If you reset Firefox, there should be a new folder on your desktop called; OldFirefox.
Thanks FredMcD, I really do have the folder on my desktop. Do I just overwrite the profile in appdata with contents of this folder or is there more to do?
P.S. also, there are two profile folders in Old Firefox folder. How do I know which one to use? Maybe the last edit date? One is yesterday, the other is 3 months ago, so I suppose it will be the latest one.

These can't get your data back, but will help in the future.
These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox
FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backup of files that you choose.
