Somehow i've gotten into firefox and cannot get out. I cannot use my other software. I hate firefox and want to stop it. I want to be able to get to my word, my folders and TO STOP FIREFOX. I can no longer can put my cursor in the corner and have options come up even to play games. I hate this. I have windows 8.1 I want to get to other softwares ON MY AND I MEAN MY COMPUTER NOT FIREFOX'S. i WANT TO UNINSTALL FIREFOX IF THAT IS WHAT IT TAKES.

you can always Uninstall firefox.Simply Uninstalling should fix the problem.
Uninstall a desktop program
Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. (If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Search.)
Enter control panel in the search box, and then tap or click Control Panel.
Under View by:, select Large Icons, and then tap or click Programs and features.
Tap or click the program, and then tap or click Uninstall.
Follow the instructions on the screen. Thank you.
hello SAnnH, i don't understand the issue - when you install firefox on a computer it won't replace existing software like word, internet explorer, google chrome and others at all, it's just installed next to them... can you please explain in more detail what is going wrong?
i CAN'T EVEN GET TO MY OTHER SOFTWARE TO UNINSTALL. I PUT MY CURSOR IN THE CORNER AND MY OTHER ICONS/APPS DO NOT SHOW TO GET THERE.

press windows+C . it should come up.

And as it seems. to get to other apps or METRO Apps what you may be suggesting. you can press windows button on your keyboard to get there.
